Having duly considered your present condition, and the state of health we know of you for the past nine months, we are reluctantly driven to the conclusion to urge most seriously upon Your Excellency the necessity of going home, if not immediately, before the damp spring weather of March comes in; and we know full well your great desire to continue longer at your post in Hong Kong.
